Invasion

STORY
Under the influence of anthropogenic factors, the number of snow leopards is constantly decreasing. Roads play an important role in this. The city is gradually penetrating deeper and deeper into the habitat of the snow leopards by the network of roads. The fragile mountain biocoenosis, on which the life of the ibex, and therefore the snow leopards depend, is subject to constant pressure from humans, and the roads are a large part of this pressure.

MEANING
A snow leopard appears on the roads like a ghost, haunting the drivers. Cut in half by the road, it stares silently at people passing by. The ghost is infiltrating the news; it clearly has something to tell us. What is it?

IN THE NEWS
An invisible ghost has appeared in the pass, seen only on video footage. Local residents even slaughtered a sheep to get rid of the evil apparition (video).

A resident of Bishkek, reviewing video from her DVR, found a strange object on it. She believes it is a ghost, which she herself did not notice for some reason, but the camera managed to capture it. She posted the video on the Internet. Other motorists, passing through the same mountain pass, decided to check their DVRs and also began to find this ghost on them.
Internet users claimed it was the figure of a snow leopard, split in half by the road for some reason. Cars moving along the road have to literally drive through the invisible snow leopard.

“This ghost, he just stands on either side of the highway and looks at us. No one can see it. We are very scared,” said one of the drivers. According to another local resident, a snow leopard hit his car on the roof with its tail and the car started skidding, but the driver was experienced and coped with the situation. He later returned to the spot where he encountered the ghost and found footprints on the pavement. “There was a huge puddle of blood,” he claimed. But when he brought his fellow villagers to the spot, the tracks were gone. Now the man is afraid to drive on that road.

Locals performed a ritual to get rid of the evil force. The district administrator said that he himself had not seen any ghost, but he wanted to reassure people, and so he went along with the locals to slaughter a sheep together with them.

Nevertheless, people claim that they continue to see the ghost.

However, it is not known if the video is edited. The footage shows a car calmly driving past the ghost.

The Ministry of Geology, Environment and Natural Resources has questioned the existence of ghosts. According to biologists, it is just clots of fog and the rich imagination of the drivers.
