“Identifying a leader” is a short study about people and feelings. When I was a kid, going outside in winter and seeing someone’s footprints made me feel better and I tried to walk straight ahead so I wouldn’t end up knee-deep in snow, these well-trodden paths made me feel safe and I never thought about being in the wrong place, I always knew that they would take me exactly where I was supposed to be. And then on my way back from school and seeing that barely visible dotted line turn into a thick black line, I felt like I had made the right choice. Occasionally someone would stray off the road, and their narrow path would seem incongruous and out of place.
